Juanita Dominguez’s 9-year-old daughter has spina bifida and uses a wheelchair. When they needed help getting funding for a wheelchair ramp for their van, Family Voices quickly guided them to the right place.
Four years ago, Family Voices Colorado received funding from the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing to start a pilot program at Children’s Hospital Colorado, in which a Family Voices staff member would be based at the hospital three days a week to help families navigate systems and connect with community resources.
