On behalf of the staff of Family Voices Colorado, thank you to everyone who attended, donated to, or otherwise supported Hearts on Fire this past weekend. We are still tallying the donations, but we had a wonderful time dancing the night away, and we couldn’t have done it without all of you who wear your heart on your sleeve on a daily basis.
As we look to the future, we want to be sure we are making the best use possible of the resources available to us, and so we would like your input on the kinds of events we offer and how to have the greatest impact. Whether you attended Hearts on Fire 2013 or not, would you take our survey? It should take less than 5 minutes to complete; just click on the link below.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. At Family Voices Colorado, we deeply value the voices of families, self-advocates, health care providers and other professionals as together we work to make Colorado a better place for children and youth with special health care needs.
Hearts on Fire is just one week from tomorrow, on Saturday, March 2, at 7pm. If you haven’t bought your tickets yet, sign up today – you won’t want to miss the food, drinks, music, silent auction, or especially the dancing!
Here’s an excerpt from our press release:
“This is the kind of event that’s really fun to come to,” explains Tom Rose, Executive Director. “We’ll have terrific food catered by local Mexican restaurant Diego’s, live music from the Manuel Molina trio, open bar, salsa dance lessons and a dance contest, in addition to our silent auction and plenty of time for mingling. We’re creating the feel of a Mexican cantina, really festive. Personally, I’m really looking forward to it. I’m just a little nervous that my wife will want me to take a turn on the dance floor!”
On this day of celebrating love, we at Family Voices Colorado want to celebrate all the forms and shapes of love that enrich our lives, and especially we want to thank you: our friends, supporters, partners, clients, and community. May your heart be full of love this day and always!
